Dear Colleagues,

In this issue, we have included articles related to presenting ophthalmologic features of systemic necrotizing vasculitis and long-term outcome data of JIA, MCDT and Adult Onset Still’s Disease. These articles might help in comparing our cohort of patients of these diseases.

Is there any significance of high-titer RF-positive or dsDNA-positive population? Should we repeat anti-CCP antibody test in early inflammatory arthritis? All these topics have been included; these issues generate curiosity because even today, we don’t know the definite answer.

Sustained remission in early RA with conventional DMARDs is possible in up to 70% of patients and this is discussed in DREAM study. Thinking of stopping anticoagulants in APLA any time? Methotrexate or azathioprine—which is better as a second-line drug for Sarcoidosis? Whole-body MRI better than clinical examination in JDM? When to suspect lymphoma in Sjögren’s patients? These questions are answered in this issue.

We are starting two new sections from this issue: first is ‘expert opinion’, in which we will present our experts’ views regarding common and uncommon problems related to rheumatic diseases. We are starting this activity with Prof. Anand N Malaviya.

In second section we are starting question of the month: every month we will raise a question that has not been answered in the literature. All members are requested to give answer by their observation in daily practice. In next issue, we will try to publish three most relevant answers. Hope you will enjoy this issue.

Best wishes

Dr Banwari Sharma
