In this issue we have included few interesting articles related to genetics of RA in north Indians, B cells and Lymph node abnormalities in very early inflammatory arthritis, and Porphyromonas gingivalis in the pathogenesis of RA.
Rituximab-induced T-cell depletion in patients with rheumatoid arthritis , methotrexate plus infliximab was not superior to methotrexate plus intravenous corticosteroid for inducing remission in treatment- naïve patients, and targeted treatment with a combination of traditional DMARDs, the 5-year follow-up results of a randomised clinical trial, the NEO-RACo trial has been included.
Few articles related to inflammatory myositis particularly distinguishing juvenile polymyositis and muscular dystrophy, and incidence of malignancies in biopsy-proven inflammatory myopathy has been included.
We are starting new activity with this issue that is ‘Questionnaire Based Survey’. This activity is primarily meant to have an idea about our day to day practice issues. This month’s questionnaires are based on RA treatment. We request all the members to spare few minutes and answer this.
In expert opinion section professor Kanneboyina Nagaraju has discussed about issues related to inflammatory myositis.
