APLAR: Application for Center of Excellence

Application for Center of Excellence

We invite rheumatology centers across Asia Pacific dedicated to achieving high standards in research, patient care, and education and training to be certified by the Asia Pacific League of Associations for Rheumatology (APLAR) as a Center of Excellence.

The Steering Committee will select 3–5 centers this year and results will be officially announced during the APLAR conference in August.

We would like to highlight that

2-3 centres within the same MNO, with the same interest, may form a consortium, leveraging on each one’s competency and expertise, to put forward a single application for CoE certification. However, this consortium is to be led by an academic institute.
Centres that may not excel in all 3 pillars, namely patient care, education and training, and research, may apply for 1-2 pillars instead. Centres will not be assessed for pillars the centres did not apply for and this will not adversely affect the centre.

Application for APLAR-Center of Excellence Exchange Programme

We are pleased to inform you that a new programme, APLAR-CoE Exchange Programme, is now open for registration. This programme allows successful applicants to visit APLAR certified CoE for 1-2 month with the aim to:

To share and exchange knowledge and experience
To create opportunities for research collaboration
To enhance the research capability of candidates’ own centre or institute.

Closing Date

All interested applicants are to complete the respective application form, as in the attached, and return to us before Monday, 1st August 2021.
