Over 50 postgraduates actively participated in this workshop.

On International Women’s Day, on 9-10th March 2024, WHIRA – Women Health in Rheumatology Association was launched, the first of its kind, with a Vision and a Mission – towards Holistic care for Women with Rheumatic Diseases and a virtual session was conducted with 82 attendees and excellent talks by Drs Amita Agarwal and Grace Wright.

Fifth World Rheumatology Forum Summit – Rheumatology Masterclasses was organized at Chennai on 16-17th March 2024 by organizing secretary Dr Sham Santhanam and team.
Maharashtra Rheumatology Association has been having academic sessions for the PGs, fellows & its members. MRA PG teaching program is an online session for the medicine PGs. There have been 17 sessions till date. They are well attended by PGs across Maharashtra. MRA Rheumatology Fellows teaching program is a monthly online session with a case presentation followed by a guest lecture. It is a well-attended program with 50-70 attendees per session. Under its aegis, an interactive meeting on osteoporosis was also conducted at the Jio Convention centre in Mumbai on 13th January 2024. Dilemmas in diagnosis and treatment were presented. Dr Kaushik Chaudhary consultant rheumatologist from UK was the main discussant along with Dr Puneet Mashru, consultant rheumatologist, HN hospital, Mumbai.
Dr Varghese Koshy with Department of Internal Medicine (AFMC) conducted an online masterclass in Rheumatology for students pursuing postgraduation in general medicine, paediatrics, pathology, microbiology & radiology with Brig Vivek Vasdev and Gp Capt S Kartik as speakers.
Dr Ashit Syngle and his team’s research on “Relationship between Flow Mediated Dilation and QRISK3 in Rheumatoid Arthritis” won the first prize at the DBT sponsored International Conference.
